Jack Jumping The Fence Again

We all know the panic that ensues when our dogs get out of the yard. Well Jack who is our 130 pound Golden Retriever somehow can jump or burrow under any fence. He gets out every now and again and always manages to come home so although there is panic we always deep down know that we will find him.

A few months ago Jack had gotten out of the yard. This time he was gone for a few hours which was very scary because usually if you whistle and call him he’s back in no time. We searched all around the town and couldn’t find him. Now I was getting scared.

Finally we get a knock at the door from our neighbor across the street. She told us that Jack was in the forest behind their house. We ran over there and found Jack with another Golden Retriever. This dog though looked injured, most likely got skimmed by a passing a car. We called the dogs owner and rushed it to the hospital. Happy to say the dog was alright.

This story though really shows why I love dogs so much. Jack had gone to be with the injured dog and stayed with her until help was on the way. Its just so sweet.
